Mr. Mansoor
Suhail, a veteran Information
professional, currently
holds the charge as Secretary
Information and Broadcasting.
He has had a rich and distinguished
career spanning over 33
years working on diverse
range of Information positions
within Pakistan and abroad.
He has been working as
Additional Secretary of
the Ministry of Information
since 2008 and has worked
as Director General of
the External Publicity
Wing from 2006 to 2008.
He has also worked as
Director General Public
Relations, Punjab as well
as Director Media of Pakistan
Cricket Board.
Mansoor Suhail has also
served as Press Minister
and Counsellor in Pakistan
Mission to the United
Nations, New York, where
he got elected as Chairman
of the UN Committee on
Information for two years
and vice chairman for
five years and thus played
a major role in formulation
of international media
policy. He also served
as Chairman of the Group
77 representing developing
countries in international
negotiations on information-related
issues.
Mansoor Suhail was a
prominent student of Government
College Lahore where he
played a leading role
in literacy and cultural
activities. He was secretary
and president of the Government
College English Literacy
Circle and Secretary of
the Majlis-e-Iqbal which
was the premier literary
organization of the college.
He was a regular contributor
of the Government College
Magazine, The Rave and
College Gazette. After
having completed his masters
in English language and
literature he also did
his masters in political
science as well as Masters
in Mass Communications.
